Research paper program
Call for Papers
NDSS SafeOSE invites original research on security, privacy, and trust in open-source ecosystems including those driven by open standards.
Research scope
Topics of interest
We welcome technical, empirical, interdisciplinary, and community-centered work that studies how vulnerabilities and defenses propagate through shared artifacts, standards, governance structures, communities, and dependencies. Standardized IoT and AI-agent ecosystems are prominent examples, but the research scope extends across open-source and standards-driven ecosystems in all domains.
- Security and privacy of open-source ecosystems
- Analysis of open standards, specifications, protocols, and reference implementations
- Open-source AI and agent ecosystems: NLIP, A2A, MCP, AGNTCY, AG2, NANDA, and more
- Standardized IoT: Matter, MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, BLE, and their real-world deployment
- Agent identity, authorization, delegation, accountability, and information flow in OSE
- SBOM, CBOM, AI-BOM, and provenance in open-source ecosystems
- Verification, program analysis, fuzzing, and AI-assisted analysis
- Trust, privacy, accountability, policy, regulation, and incentives
- Ecosystem governance, maintainers, disclosure, and sustainability
- Measurements, benchmarks, datasets, adoption, and case studies
Paper submissions
